What a wonderful experience! As a newcomer to progressive lenses, I required assistance with adjustments on two new pairs of glasses purchased at another LensCrafters KC location. (I will not return to the other location that is physically closer to me due to the subpar service I received.) In contrast, this location provided exceptional care, helping me understand key aspects of my frame selection that I was previously unaware of. Thank you for your outstanding assistance, education, understanding and compassion. While I was there, I did notice a HUGE selection of frames. All great brands including what I'd selected at the other location. (Dolce & Gabbana)

They were so rude to me the whole time! I did not feel welcome there and will not come back.

We had not been in this store and were pleasantly surprised. It is a beautiful store, and there are so many eyeglass brands and all types of frames to choose from. Everyone is so helpful in there, and Damaris took a lot of time with me to help me choose the right frames. I will only go there now as they also took my insurance, and gave the best in customer service. A+ rating!

I recently visited the LensCrafters in Lee's Summit to pick up my new glasses and order a second pair for 50% off, as promised by Carmen during my initial visit I would be able to purchase the Ray Ban meta glasses. Unfortunately, my experience with Lori, the store manager, was extremely disappointing. She informed me that the 50% discount did not apply to Meta frames, contrary to what I had been told. I expressed my frustration, as I had already used my insurance benefits and would have made my purchase differently had I known. Lori said she would speak with the original associate, but the situation only became more confusing. Lori also told me that they don’t run insurance for Meta frames, but when I called two other LensCrafters locations, I was informed that insurance is accepted for Meta frames with a prescription. Tiara at the Oak Park Mall location was incredibly helpful and clarified everything for me—great customer service there! However, when I called back to the Lee's Summit store and asked to speak with Lori, the man who answered said she was busy and would return my call. Instead of Lori calling me, the same man called back and said it was a misunderstanding. It was NOT a misunderstanding on my part—I was very clear about my concerns. It was rude and unprofessional for Lori, the store manager, not to return my call personally as I was promised and I left feeling dismissed and undervalued as a customer. The lack of clarity, misinformation, and poor communication were unacceptable. I will never return to the Lee's Summit LensCrafters and urge others to avoid this location. Thankfully, other locations like Oak Park Mall provide much better service. LensCrafters corporate should investigate, as I wouldn’t be surprised if similar issues have occurred with other customers. My experience with Lori makes me question the integrity of the management at this location.

Large selection of name brand glasses. Staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. Love my new progressive lens and glasses.

Insurance claim process was quick and easy.

Very disappointed with the Lee's Summit Lens Crafters, Beware if you decide to go there. Came in from out of town (30 min drive each way) as their web site says they accept my vision insurance, 'NVA' or National Vision Administrators. Its listed on their web site in both the 'panel' view and drop menu. I inquired about some frames as I have a frame benefit about to expire at the end of the year (use it or loose it). Lady behind the desk looks at my insurance paper work and checks the computer. Sure enough, I have NVA insurance, then she informs me they don't take that. I told her it's listed on your web site you do and she again says no it isn't. A screen shot below says different. What a failure in customer service, this place needs to re-evaluate what it's doing...total waste of my time really irritating, so beware if you decide to go there, horrible customer service. (plus the parking lot for this place is a nightmare, how do you get in it?). I'll follow up with a written letter to the general manager. UPDATE: Received reply (see below), just a cold, cut/copy/paste of the "thank you for the review, sorry..." Go to this link and tell us again, maybe we'll reply now that we have your personal email. Poor leadership apparently at this location. If they ever reply I'll post another update if anyone reads this.

They wouldn't even help my wife find glasses. Someone else will get our money.

Walked in and immediately knew I’d be getting my glasses here. This location is classy and clean. The associates are helpful, careful, and detailed. When I brought my glasses back in to adjust how they sat on my face, the associate quickly pin-pointed the exact spot causing the issue and made sure it was perfect. Their level of care is unmatched.

The employee that assisted me (Lori) was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. She helped me figure out insurance coverage and glasses that looked good on me. She made the experience a positive one!

I called after ordering my glasses and I thought the cost was higher then it should of been so looked at my receipt and then called and talked to Lori that helped me and she was rude and did not want to explain and short with me and it there were no explanation of the cost....the frames I picked out were 147 and my insurance covers up to 130 so should of paid 17 and then lens are suppose to be 25 and she charged me 95 so she said when I called 25 is for plastic lens ... I was not asked if I wanted plastic or the more expensive lens all she asked was if I wanted the bifocal part higher to which I said yes nothing stated that I had to have the more expensive lens and when I asked she just said ok and hung up ... there was also suppose to be 30 percent off of frames if bought complete glasses and I did and no discount so I will not buy from here again either very upset and feel Cheated severely

staff has an attitude problem

My husband and I had a really great experience here. It was very easy and convenient to make an appointment for us both online. The staff that we worked with were very friendly. Denise checked us in for our appointment and performed the preliminary steps to prepare us for seeing the doctor. She was very professional and personable. We shared great conversation and laughs and she really helped set the tone for a great appointment. Dr. Lookhart was equally engaging and very professional as well. He has a wonderful sense of humor and we too shared a lot of laughs. He was very patient and answered all of my questions and concerns. I felt the exam he provided was efficient and thorough. I've never had so much fun having my pupils dilated. 😆 🤣 😂 Last but not least, Cassie assisted us in looking at eyewear options. She assisted me in locating a pair I'd purchased awhile ago and discussed options on how I might obtain them again. She was very upfront with us about our vision insurance benefits and didn't play any "insurance games" with us which I really appreciate. I'd highly recommend this business. It's clean, modern, offers a great eyewear inventory and most of the staff is truly AMAZING!!! Update 12/31/23: We went in to pay the store a visit because we'd forgotten the item numbers for the frames we looked at. Denise, Dr. Lockhart and Cassie were all there and it was great to see them again. Lori assisted us this time around and it was a stark contrast from the assistance we received at our initial appointment. She seemed bothered by us being there and reluctant to assist. She was curt, unprofessional and really borderline rude. I wasn't impressed by her personality or the service, or lack there of, she offered. It wasn't enough to not make me want to return as a patient but I'd avoid working with her again at all cost.

I went to another Eye Glass Co. and asked about my Medicare benefits. They said I would have to pay for the glasses myself AND THEN file with Medicare and get $200. Lens Crafter Filed direct with MC and deducted my benefit which was more than $200.Then I paid only the balance. Thanks

Very please with my experience! Picked out some frames and after having them a couple weeks I changed my mind. Went back in and they exchanged my frames no problem and I’m in love with the second pair I picked. Was happy with their patience and understanding why I wanted them exchanged. Frames came super quick both times, definitely be back again.

The exam was great. The ladies up front who are SUPPOSED to help you pick out frames had no interest in helping, they didn't get up from their chairs, talking and laughing with each other. There were no other customers in the store so they definitely weren't helping other people. I have been to several other Lenscrafters and they were wonderful, these ladies were just lazy. It turns out one of them is a GM, no wonder this store has such low ratings.

The receptionist was ignorant and unprofessional, she lied and said I needed to bring in an RX after I advised her I had been to different locations and my Rx is on file then she decided to ask for my information to look up my account.

I got my eye exam somewhere else and came here to buy glasses. I found a pair that I loved and after I picked them up and tried to wear them for a few hours I just couldn’t see right. Couldn’t see far away and things were distorted. I went to get my prescription rechecked by someone else thinking that was the problem but it wasn’t, it was clearly how the lenses were made in their lab that was the problem. When I took them back to have them look at them again they refused to remake them and said “everything was made according to the prescription” so sadly I had to return them. I bought a separate pair of glasses at a different store using the same prescription and what do you know, I can see out of them perfectly. Someone at this store clearly doesn’t know what they are doing.
