I’ve been a customer for 25 years at the Westland location Karen, the current manager is very professional very nice lady and has always went out of her way to help me . I would highly recommend this location and especially Karen, which is always satisfied my eyeglass needs !! Thanks again Karen 😀😀😀😀😀

This was the best experience I’ve had with purchasing glasses. The customer service is exceptional! Stephany helped me pick out regular glasses and sunglasses, she was very knowledgeable and very kind. I will definitely be back for my future eye glass purchases!

LensCrafters Review: Disappointing Follow-Up Experience I recently visited LensCrafters to purchase a new pair of glasses, attracted by a $100 coupon for multi-bifocal lenses. My initial visit was fantastic. The eye exam went smoothly, and the doctor was thorough, efficient, and gave me helpful advice about caring for my aging eyes. Afterward, a team member assisted me in picking out frames and carefully measuring my face to ensure the bifocal line was accurate. At this point, I would have rated my experience five stars. However, things took a disappointing turn with subsequent visits. My glasses needed to be remade not once, but twice, due to incorrect measurements. Each time, I had to wait an additional week for the replacements. When I arrived to pick up the second pair, I asked a salesperson if I could use the bathroom. Initially, I was told there was no bathroom available. Yet, after they realized they had measured my glasses incorrectly again, suddenly I was allowed to use the bathroom. This felt inconsistent and, frankly, unprofessional. When I came in to pick up my third pair, I asked if I could use the bathroom to take out my contacts so I could properly try on the glasses. This request was met with confusion. The staff exchanged glances, seemingly unsure of how to respond, and I was left feeling awkward for making what should have been a straightforward request. The lack of clarity and accommodation was frustrating, especially considering this was their third attempt to get my glasses right. The inconsistency and lack of basic customer service—like providing access to a bathroom for something as simple as removing contacts—are reasons enough for me to avoid LensCrafters in the future. Other optical providers I’ve visited (America’s Best, SVS Vision, Henry Ford Optical, Elite Eyecare) have all had bathroom facilities available and were far more accommodating. As of now, I’ve contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges. After three failed attempts to provide me with properly measured glasses, I can no longer trust LensCrafters to make things right. It really is the little things that matter, and unfortunately, LensCrafters fell short.

The Westland Mall LensCrafters is a great place and very convenient to be able to get glasses picked out and an eye exam scheduled same day. Ashley was a great associate who helped both myself and my husband, Shane, with ensuring we were getting the best glasses that fit our daily life and are within our budget. The only downfall to our experience at the Westland Mall LensCrafters was the poor customer service that my husband was provided from the eye doctor he seen, Marcie Oleinick-Goldstein. This was my husbands first time getting glasses for himself, and she made him feel as if he had no hope for him being able to see better due to an eye condition that should’ve been taken care of when he was a child. She could not explain anything to him or give him a reason without there being some form of a snarky attitude. When it was time for him to get his glasses, my husband was asking about the type lenses he was getting. The LensCrafters associate Ashley asked her in a polite manner what the reason for the material was to help explain, and her response was “because that’s what I ordered”. I would not recommend seeing Marcie for an eye exam if you are needing questions answered. It was rude and very disrespectful and inappropriate to be acting in such a way in a public place dealing with someone’s eye health. It’s as if she just wants a sale and to make profit instead of actually helping someone who really needs it.

I have been going to this LensCrafters in the Westland Mall for about 5 years or more the doctors are great the staff at LensCrafters where you get your classes our professional and nice and really helpful to find you the best way to get the best price on your glasses thank you

The reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because purchasing a new pair of glasses was a seamless process. Would 100% go back to do that. The reason this Lenscrafters gets 2-stars is due to the experience I've had with the eye doctor. What a joke. I have seen eye doctors for almost 30 years and have worn contacts for almost 15 years. Have never had an experience as negative as what I've had. First off, come to work on time and not strolling in with a coffee 30 minutes late. On top of that, why are you leaving before the eye doctor is closed? Came in 30 minutes beforehand. Nobody there. Second, if I need to be fitted, why can't you do that? Isn't that your job? No problem. I'll take my money elsewhere. Probably for the best because it seems like there is no care whatsoever on the eye doctor's end.

I purchased two frames recently, I was helped by Karen who treated me like family, explained my options and if I wanted to change anything, it would be no issue. I made one change to my frames, and her customer service was 5 star, she was so happy I left satisfied, it truly made my day. I highly recommend this LensCrafters.

I broke my glasses the morning of a trip! I took a chance and went to the nearest lens crafter to see if they could fix it. They took a look right away and as it turns out, didn’t have the right screw (they’re a pair of warby Parker’s). The woman who took care of me was so kind! She put in a screw just to hold them together enough for the weekend. Not only was it good customer service and conscientious, she was so lovely in general. I’m kicking myself for not remembering her name, but because of her, I’ll be back to purchase my new glasses (which I’m in desperate need of), so I’ll catch her name then!

Worst service we'll ever experienced with purchasing eyeglasses in 30 years. Both pairs of glasses came back several times incorrect. After the third time, nonchalantly we were told "ohh, we can't do that". After coming into the store several times about the SAME ISSUE, there was no remorse. No apologizes. The staff and management team gave a narcissistic, nonchalant, nasty and the feeling of being bothered attitude. As if if I had did something to them personally. I only wanted what I ordered. I would never recommend this location to anyone. The customer service and the work of the products wasn’t even mediocre. SVS in Wayne gave much better service and their products were awesome. They never come back from the lab incorrectly. This location needs an audit and some customer service training. HORRIBLE PLACE NEVER FOLLOWED UP OR RETURN MY MONEY SINCE 9/14/2024

Service was not good. Came to the store 3 times and still was not satisfied. Blue tint level 2 is not what I got and was never satisfied. What was described in-person is not what I recieved. Totally dissatisfied and requested a refund.

I started coming here a few years ago for strictly just frame adjustments. Then I started buying my frames there about a year or so ago. And I just recently started seeing them for my exams as well. Very happy with LensCrafters Westland! They made my frames fit perfectly after having many adjustments done at another office that only left me with never ending headaches. I wish I could remember all of the girls who have helped me there. They are all so sweet & helpful and really are great at what they do. I’ve bought numerous frames from them now and the ladies here have been nothing but honest and helpful!! The eye doctor is also great, very informative. I recommend them to everyone!

I've been going here for years and this last experience was not the greatest. First off when I walked in the door for my doctor appointment I was very quickly asked if I needed help and they said they had my name down because apparently they already knew I was coming in for a doctor appointment. So I did work with one lady and started looking for some glasses while I waited for my appointment. After my appointment, the manager assigned someone else to assist me with my order; not the person who was originally helping me. Then during my appointment multiple people decided to get in on the appointment and I must have had up to three people offering suggestions on glasses. I picked out two pairs; one for regular wear and one pair of sunglasses. I ended up not being happy with the regular glasses, so I came back in to return them. I selected another pair, but this office has a limited supply of styles compared to what they had years ago, so I was having a hard time finding a pair I liked. When I got the new pair, I found that I could not seem to get focused in the right area for the progressive lenses and things were blurry. So I had to come back again and the doctor's office said that the Lenscrafters staff needed to test the glasses first to make sure the prescription was right. The Lenscrafter's staff person seemed irritated that the doctor's office said this, but they accommodated and tested the glasses. After the doctor then took a look it was discovered that it was just an adjustment to the frame that needed to be made. So they adjusted the frame and they seemed to be fine. However, sometimes they still seem blurry to me compared to my old glasses and I still don't like the frame, but at this point they won't let me change them, so I'm stuck with a pair that I don't even wear very often. I had originally asked them to match the base curves and the manager insisted that they have never done this, which is completely untrue as they always did this in the past for me. So $800 for glasses that I don't want to wear.

Dr Goldstein has been my eye doctor for years and he's a great guy. Very nice, knowledgeable, and honest. Everyone else at this Lenscrafters has always been awesome, too.

Just came from Lens Crafters at Westland Mall. Dr. Kevin Goldstein was very personable and knowledgeable. He explained the exam procedures and how my eyes have changed. Miss Ashley was so sweet and she helped me understand my new eye insurance and pick out the perfect frames at a VERY affordable price! Everyone was personally welcoming and professional. I would highly recommend them for their excellent customer service. 😊

After 10+ years of SVS Vision, I can confidently say LensCrafters has my business forever. Great medical coverage, helped recommend multiple frames for very cheap and even helped expedite my glasses. Worked with Ashley on choosing a frame. Ashley is extremely knowledgeable about all matters lenses and frames. She was extraordinarily patient with me as I sorted through several of their frames, several times and she provided an honest opinion, which I appreciated the most. She actually cares for the customer's satisfaction in service! I found all of the staff at this particular Lenscrafters to be very approachable and courteous during each of my visits. This location has a wonderful selection of frames to choose from and is very well maintained.

Everyone there was very professional and courteous, from the doctor,to the person doing the billing down to Stephanie who worked with me in picking out my frames. It was an overall great experience.
