KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.

- I could not be more satisfied! I am a long term customer and had broken frames on a business trip. The local team helped me. Unfortunately, my lens were damaged in the process of trying to find new frames. The next day, the local manager/lead did a super job getting me in a new pair of frames and assumed responsibility for the damaged lens. I believe the lens were damaged in the store but still appreciate the attempt to help me find a quick solution as I had a professional presentation the next day. Thank you for the great service and assistance!Response from LensCrafters St Augustine, FLNovember 12, 2019Hi Barbara! Thanks for your review. - my visit to my local store was great, until i returned to pick up my glasses. they were presented to me with smug marks, from people’s finger prints. so much i was unable to wear then upon my departure. the next morning i cleaned them in preparation to wear them, only to find 3 very small scratches. i took them beck to the store immediately. i voiced my displeasure about the condition i picked them up. stating i may have seen the scratches prior to taking them on my initial pick up, but couldn’t because they were so smuggled. the lady who took them back was very helpful and apologetic. about 4 days later i received the text they were ready. the lady who helped me presented my tiffany glasses in a standard lens crafter case. i asked for the original tiffany’s case that they originally came in. she immediately stated “we don’t collect the cases when we change out lens”. i stated, the extremely helpful lady who took these the day i came in, collected everything (including the original case) the f
girl was very reluctant to give me “another” tiffany’s case. i reassured her that i didn’t have the original one they came in, again the girl who took my scratched glasses took it. 3 different tiffany’s cases later she provided me with the case i was originally given. her attitude was terrible. i will never shop at lens crafters again.Response from LensCrafters St Augustine, FLDecember 2, 2019Hi Vanessa, thank you for your review. We strive to provide the best service in the industry and are disappointed by the way you were served by our agent. Please go to https://bit.ly/LC-LUX so we can follow up with you directly. - The eyeglass selection process was fine up to the point where I had paid in full for the glasses on 8/20/19. I was told that it would take between 10 and 14 days for my glasses to come in. That was also fine with me. The area then had a close call with Hurricane Dorian, so I gave the store an additional week. After three weeks, I had still not received a text message, an e-mail, or a telephone call telling me my glasses were ready. So, I called the store. I ordered the glasses on 8/20/19 and when I called 3-weeks later, I was told the glasses had been ready since 8/24/19 --- 4 days after I ordered them! The store told me that they had sent me a text message but, as I said, I did not receive it. In any event, I am disappointed that the store did not follow up and instead kept my new glasses for 17 days. If I had kept waiting for the store to contact me, I do not believe they ever would have. They had my money so they simply did not care whether or not I ever picked them up. This is a poor way to treat a customer.Response from LensCrafters St Augustine, FLSeptember 17, 2019Hi Daniel, thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about your experience.
